If you noticed that you had more than one spot on a SERP page at Google, guess what? You many not see that after the September 14th algo shift.
This is a good thing for searchers because I remember when some blackhat techniques could suck up every listing on page one. That really sucks when you’re trying to find something because you have to scroll or even go to the next page to find something different. That’s not to say that you might have garnered multiple listings while being a whitehat person. Happens. But it’s not normal, unless the search term is just so devoid of content that Google has nothing else to serve.
More frequently, this happened with using some of those nefarious SEO techniques. So, once again… Blackhatters beware. Google seems to be looking for younz.
Most of the blackhat crowd could give a rip. They think it’s perfectly fine to use spammy techniques just to crush it with search. They make all SEOs look bad.
Did it ever occur to them that people who are searching really DON’T want to see a whole page of their pseudo site links? I say “pseudo site” because the money site usually stays pristine. It’s the pseudo sites that are banned by search engines, not the money sites. So, they’re able to use their tricks over and over again.
An argument blackhatters have to justify what they do is that it’s not against the law and that search engines aren’t people, so it’s not breaking a law or committing a sin against humanity. True. Or is it? Aren’t you just making it harder for us “chumps” (as black hatters see we who do things properly) to succeed because of the shite you throw out there? You kind of piss me off.
Anyway, if you’re looking at SERPs pages and don’t see your listing coming up twice or thrice or more on one page… You’ve been bitten by one of the Google animals, and you probably deserve it.
Oh, well.
