Guest Blogging Rocks
Have you considered guest blogging in your niche? No? Well… You should, most definitely.
Guest blogging means finding blogs in your niche, hopefully with a lot of traffic and a good page rank, and approaching blog owners with a proposal that you write an article for them to put on their blogs. If you’re a decent writer and you know you’re niche, this should be an easy gig to pick up.
Bloggers have to create content on a regular basis, and though it’s fun to do if you’re really into your topic, it’s often hard. You have to come up with an idea and you have to take the time to write. For me, it’s not a big deal because I’ve been a writer for so many years, but for some folks, it really takes a lot of time.
Even if writing is easy for you, other things come into play to stop you. You’ll notice that I haven’t been able to keep up my schedule this week. Other things were just more important. So…Would that I had people who were decent writers and wanted to do some posting for me.
I’ve had folks in the past. Wayne Shearer did a kick-ass post for me a couple of months back, and I’ve had Mike Paetzold do a post quite a long time ago. I hate to ask, though, as folks have their own businesses to run and they don’t always see the benefit. However, if they come to me… I’ll certainly consider their proposals.
Guest Blogging Can Be Great SEO
Here’s where the SEO comes in. If you find a blog that has a higher page rank than you do, and that has a decent Alexa ranking (under 500,000, let’s say), which means that the blog gets traffic, you’re building a good backlink to your blog or website. Not only that, but you are introducing yourself to someone else’s audience.
It’s like having someone mail for you, really. I mean, you may not be offering anything in your “resource” section, where you talk about yourself and your business, but if people like you, they’ll probably subscribe to your feed, opt into your list, and start watching what you’re doing.
If you are in the “make money online” niche, SEO, Blogging, Web 2.0 or anything that this blog addresses and you’re a decent writer, I most certainly will consider your proposal for “guest” blogging for me. Not only that, but if we agree that’s what should happen, I’ll be very happy to do the same for you.
Everybody wins.
Do a Google blog search for blogs in your niche. Follow the blogs you’re interested in, and approach the blogger to exchange articles. Give him or her some examples of your work, and you’ll be amazed at how well this works out for you.
