Start a Newspaper: TwitterTim.es

Yes, yes… I know… Two Twitter posts in two days, but hey… It’s important! :)

Have you ever wished that you could be a newspaper publisher. You know… have a kinky cool site like The New York Times that belonged to you?

Now you can!

And it’s simple to use.

Just set up a free account using your Twitter ID and bingo! They do the rest. They take your followers, the people you follow, and your posts to Twitter and create the newspaper out of them. You don’t really have to do anything but send traffic.

So cool.

I can see several uses for this.

  • Find newspapers in your niche and then, follow the people who post information about that niche.
  • Set up a squeeze page and offer your newspaper (sign up for the free [your niche] news….). Add the URL to your follow-up series.
  • Use the info to spark blog posts about the articles in your newspaper or even someone else’s
  • Create articles from the ideas you find in your newspaper, since it should already be niche-centric
  • Send it to your non-online friends, especially if you’re a brick & mortar business. You could advertise your newspaper in your literature or in your store and never have to worry about content creation.

And so on…

You can’t line the bird cage with it, but hey… pretty neat for zero cost, eh?
