Joyner/Bacak Conference Day 1: Awesome!
So, even Tellman flew in for this, and I have to say that the caliber of speaker that this conference is presenting is top notch.
Mark Joyner, who I finally was able to meet in person, did the keynote. He has the right idea. Are we in a recession? Since the two preceeding quarters determines it, are we or aren’t we? WE DON”T KNOW! And if you don’t get your butts busy, no telling when this whole Internet ballgame’s rules will change. We just had a sample with all the new FTC stuff, eh? I think Mark’s right, but that’s no surprise. 
Then, Matt Bacak did a great talk on proper joint venturing. Unless you are these guys or work for them, you can’t possibly understand how many stupid proposals they get from perfect strangers every day. Clue: It’s all in the relationship you build with people and how much you can do for them, NOT the other way around. That comes later. Right on, Matt! You go, dude.
Anyone recognize the name Robert Allen? Well… If you don’t, you haven’t been in this business very long. I have to say that his close at the end of his talk was smooth as silk. Wow! I already have one of the best teachers in the biz, but I hafta tell you… if I was looking for coaching, he’d have had me pulling out my plastic.
Bill Glazer was next. Man, what a sweet deal. I’ve really come to respect Glazer/Kennedy for their brilliance and style, and Mr. G’s talk wasn’t a disappointment. How about making people to pay you to be an affiliate? A very interesting concept and an awesome rather backdoor approach to sales. Love it!
Oh, and Shawn Casey is here, too. He talked about the Secrets of Million Dollar Teleseminars, not the product, but the method. Hmm… Lived that, and it was still interesting.
So, that was day one…. Day two? Well, let’s just say that it ends with Tellman and me shooting film footage with a Flip Vid. Luckily, Luke, RunTellmanRun’s awesome PR guy, says that it’s OK if the camera is a little shaky. Whew!
Tons of fun. Lots of great folks here that aren’t presenting, too, like friends & acquaintances Erik Stafford, Carrie Wilkerson, Ross Goldberg, Jason James, and on and on and on. Those were only the ones I was able to speak with today. Tomorrow should be interesting. YOU should totally be here.
